'Beauty itself struck me as a kind of painful melancholy.' Memoirs of a Geisha, Arthur Golden.
Inspired by philosophy and literature, Victoria's highly original approach to jewellery design came from her frustration with other designers use of generic components and their preoccupation with the reproduction of past styles. Her fresh, modern designs have a graphic, sculptural quality characterized by a dramatic combination of gold and oxidised silver which result in wearable designs whilst still retaining their edgy chic.
Each of item is hand-made by the designer and every item is unique, not an exact copy of a previous piece. All the earrings are sold as singles as part of Victoria's mix and match philosophy. Her third collection, exclusive at Kabiri, is a fusion of her obsession with the mechanical and all things minimal.
London-based Victoria Archer graduated from Central Saint Martins
