Romantic and cosmopolitan, Jeanne-Marie Chan is no stranger to the world of luxury. Born in Manila of Cantonese descent, her loving parents adorned her with diamonds and rubies and instilled in her the ethics and aesthetics of things even as a child. After graduating 'cum laude' in management and a rigorous career in investment banking, she left for Paris in 1999 where she finished an MBA specialized in luxury brand management at ESSEC, a move that was closer to heart.
Since then, Jeanne-Marie has worked for wines adn spirits in Amsterdam and later rediscovered jewellery with LVMH watch and jewellery in Paris as international strategy and marketing development manager for the group. A desire to take on a creative role and share her vision of fine jewellery marked the beginnings of Hedone Romane.
Coined from 'hedonism', that esteemed pleasure as the highest good; and 'romanticism', that exalted strong emotions and the imagination, HEDONE ROMANE jewellery is rooted in a hedonistic and romantic lifestyle.
Jeanne-Marie takes fine jewellery beyond an artisan's fascination for simply form into a universe of allusions and allegories, from which follows aesthetic expression in noble materials and contemporary forms that are often irregular, elongated, curvaceous and always composed. The collection is exclusive at Kabiri.
