Once an English literature major at Georgetown University it was her time spent interning at W Magazine that cemented her love for fashion and design. Elyse thought that the marriage between writing and fashion would be a good fit for her. However, she soon realised that it was design rather than the editorial that was her true love. After Georgetown Elyse attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles and has been an Angeleno ever since.
Before launching her eponymous jewellery line in late 2005 Elyse designed leather accessories for rock stars on tour. After some time doing this she felt that the medium too limiting and soon her line of fine jewellery infused with her rock and roll design roots was born.
Elyse Jacob designs are made for the fashion forward woman who appreciates a streamlined modern aesthetic with a rock n' roll sensibility. Her look has been dubbed "minimalism with bite". Jacob works in 18 karat yellow, white and blackened white gold and only uses the finest diamonds. Every stone is hand selected and each piece is hand produced in Los Angeles to ensure quality. Since the debut of her line she has been fortunate enough to gain a substantial celebrity following including Lindsay Lohan, Kate Bosworth, Jennifer Aniston, Charlize theron and the Olsen twins to name a few and has graced the pages of many national and international fashion magazines including W, InStyle, Bazaar and Elle.
