Des Doyle
Des Doyle is an Irish Goldsmith who works from a tiny studio in the Irish countryside from where he creates small collections of jewellery, entirely hand-wrought in 18ct gold. Each of his pieces explores a world of elegant, nature inspired shapes, each distilled down to their essential purest forms. Over the past 15 years he has become renowned for his refined and sensuous aesthetic which has marked him out as a distinctive voice in the world of contemporary goldsmithing.
In his hands gold is fashioned into a whole universe of beautiful objects; tiny gold wasps, gentle egg shapes and sparkling honeycombs, each exquisitely detailed.Many of the pieces are adorned with carefully selected diamonds that glisten and beguile the viewer and beckon them to enter into this precious tiny world.
